Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and successful business development manager in the chemical industry to start a chemical division, the division would focus on mostly specialty chemicals including lubricants and oils, a wide range of chemical raw materials, industrial cleaning products, and various other industrial chemicals to a wide variety of target markets including mining, chemical and other manufacturing, food and beverage, tires and rubber and many more. Target sales area will be the whole of South Africa initially. A relevant tertiary qualification - which could be chemistry or any science degree, chemical engineering and similar plus a business qualification, from a diploma to MBA is definitely an advantage.

You should have at least 10 years sales experience in similar industries with a proven track record of success, experience in starting a new department would be great.

The role will be reporting to executive level And you will be supported by a junior sales representative, who will be employed at the same time. Both basic salary and commission percentages are negotiable depending on your successful sales career.
