Business Development Manager– MV and HV Substations

SUMMARY:
A well-established business is seeking a Business Development Manager – MV and HV Substations.

POSITION INFO:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be fluent in English and Mandarin – NOT NEGIOTABLE!
• Preferably have a minimum of a S4 / National Higher Diploma in Electrical engineering with three (3) years of appropriate industry specific experience
• Have more than three (3) years of experience in selling technically complex electrical distribution systems
• Have a high level of technical proficiency on MV and HV switchgear and substation design and applications
• Have a high level of technical proficiency with regards the applicable IEC standards

• Review, interpret and translate technical documents from English to Mandarin and vice versa.
• Co-ordinate communication between proposal and engineering teams in South Africa and Chinese factories.
• Assist with developing and implementing the business strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Responsible for the sales of:
• Ring Main Units
• MV Air and Gas Insulated Switchgear
• HV Gas and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear
• Mini / Compact Substations and E-House solutions
• Complex MV and HV Electrical Distribution Systems
• Monthly reporting. 
• Compiling monthly / quarterly and annual budgetary targets.
• Preparation of Customer Action Plans and Individual Action Plan.
• Assist Proposal Manager / Project and Engineering Manager with the preparation and submission of tenders for potential projects.
