SUMMARY:
A well-established business is seeking a Business Development Manager – MV and HV Substations.

POSITION INFO:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be fluent in English and Mandarin – NOT NEGIOTABLE!
Preferably have a minimum of a S4 / National Higher Diploma in Electrical engineering with three (3) years of appropriate industry specific experience
Have more than three (3) years of experience in selling technically complex electrical distribution systems
Have a high level of technical proficiency on MV and HV switchgear and substation design and applications
Have a high level of technical proficiency with regards the applicable IEC standards

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, interpret and translate technical documents from English to Mandarin and vice versa.
Co-ordinate communication between proposal and engineering teams in South Africa and Chinese factories.
Assist with developing and implementing the business strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa.
Responsible for the sales of:
Ring Main Units
MV Air and Gas Insulated Switchgear
HV Gas and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear
Mini / Compact Substations and E-House solutions
Complex MV and HV Electrical Distribution Systems
Monthly reporting.
Compiling monthly / quarterly and annual budgetary targets.
Preparation of Customer Action Plans and Individual Action Plan.
Assist Proposal Manager / Project and Engineering Manager with the preparation and submission of tenders for potential projects.
