Business Development Manager : Mining & Engineering

POSITION INFO:

Business Development Manager – Mining & Engineering – East Rand

Primary purpose of the role : To drive business and growth agenda throughout South Africa

Key accountabilities (including but not limited to):

• Develop and leverage constructive relationships within target accounts to gain access to key decision makers and establish coach network
• Continuously review business potential and identify business opportunities
• Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, IT, HR, Finance etc)
• Draft vision and target for assigned target accounts
• Proactively identify opportunities within target accounts and answer incoming RFQs
• Conduct internal and external research to identify customer’s supply chain requirements and business objectives

Minimum requirements :

• Matric | Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or in external contract logistics environment
• Minimum 5 years’ sales experience
• Project management experience, operational background, consultancy

Skills required :

• Communicate with all role players, both internal and external
• Customers, Principles, Tranship operations
• Effective communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
• Knowledge of and skilled in : Administration, Computers, Distribution, Logistics, Operational, Quality, Security and Service delivery

Salary : Negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience
