SUMMARY:
Business Development Manager : Mining & Engineering

POSITION INFO:

Business Development Manager – Mining & Engineering – East Rand

Primary purpose of the role : To drive business and growth agenda throughout South Africa

Key accountabilities (including but not limited to):

Develop and leverage constructive relationships within target accounts to gain access to key decision makers and establish coach network
Continuously review business potential and identify business opportunities
Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, IT, HR, Finance etc)
Draft vision and target for assigned target accounts
Proactively identify opportunities within target accounts and answer incoming RFQs
Conduct internal and external research to identify customer’s supply chain requirements and business objectives

Minimum requirements :

Matric | Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or in external contract logistics environment
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience
Project management experience, operational background, consultancy

Skills required :

Communicate with all role players, both internal and external
Customers, Principles, Tranship operations
Effective communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
Knowledge of and skilled in : Administration, Computers, Distribution, Logistics, Operational, Quality, Security and Service delivery

Salary : Negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience
