Business Development Manager - Mining Chemicals

SUMMARY:
A well-known and established Mining Chemical Company requires the above to manage Senior Key Accounts and grow the Company’s portfolio within the mining industry.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification in either Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or related qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked in a Key Accounts Management role managing large accounts within the Mining Industry is essential.
• The successful candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as strong business and commercial acumen.
• The successful candidate must have excellent selling and negotiation skills and a good knowledge and understanding of contracts and tender processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and driving Key Accounts within the Mining Industry.
• Troubleshooting and advising Senior Accounts regarding new products and solutions that the Company can offer.
• Fiscal management of sales territory (volume, sales and gross profit management).
• Gaining market intelligence and launching new products.
• Driving a successful business plan and sales strategy for allocated portfolios.
• Managing and driving sales volumes, turnover and profit targets for allocated portfolio customer satisfaction and retention for allocated portfolios.
• Maintaining and growing sustainable relationships with Key Accounts and new business.
• Managing, driving and executing strategies for geographical expansion, new products introduced within the existing and new portfolio of clients.
• Conducting on-going price reviews, increase negotiations and recommendations for the use for alternative suitable product for mines, if necessary.
• Conducting monthly forecasting and stock reviews.
• Providing technical support on sales of ion exchange resins and reverse osmosis membrane in various mining applications and others.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
