Business Development , Pre-Sales Engineer

SUMMARY:
The Business Development & Pre-Sales resource goal is to drive business and commercial growth across the Business Unit, including the development of new business networks and contacts, attraction of new customers, providing growth into new real opportunities, and expansion of existing networks in order to provide growth of real opportunities within these existing networks.  Providing Pre-Sales support through the compilation of Proposals and quotations to existing and prospective customers, through collaboration with internal technical resources.

POSITION INFO:
Role Objectives Identify and acquire new customers and opportunities Expand opportunities within existing customer base Grow the pipeline with viable opportunities Identify and prioritise pipeline opportunities into executable and executed projects Provide functional\/business related inputs towards the technical resources as part of the pre-sales function Communicate with external parties during the pre-sales processes Business Development and Pre-sales Responsibilities Promotion of the Business Unit's products and services Lead\/opportunity development to ensure growth Development and coordination of quotes and proposals, in conjunction with the Business Unit's technical resources Capitalisation on opportunities through to Order Close coordination with the Company Sales and other representatives in order to ensure continuity Lead and\/or support role in the development and submission of proposals of all forms (RFx), including coordination of technical and engineering needs in order to fulfil asking requirements; ensuring commercial viability; generation of costing sheets; ensuring viability of execution (project management and implementation); and in general coordination of all aspects from lead generation to successful, commercially viable project completion. Provision of management reports in terms of the progression of the role and functions as determined and agreed Reporting to the General Manager: Identity Management Minimum Requirements Minimum of 4 years' experience in technical pre-sales, solutions sales, business development, cybersecurity, identity management or a related technology environment. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Demonstrated experience in developing and progressing opportunities from lead generation and qualification through to proposal and\/or order placement. Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing technology, pre-sales or business development environment. Experience working with technical and\/or engineering teams during the solution development and pre-sales process. Strong understanding of customer requirements and the ability to translate business requirements into appropriate technology solutions. Strong commercial awareness and customer focus. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and proposal-writing skills. Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills. Strong organisational and opportunity management skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously. Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally as required. French and\/or Portuguese language proficiency would be advantageous, particularly for engagement with customers and stakeholders across African markets.
