SUMMARY:
Our client an international supplier of equipment into the Poultry sector is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Sub-Saharan Africa territory. This candidate needs to be based in SA and be willing to call on clients in areas throughout Sub Saharan Africa, traveling up to three weeks a month. Experience in calling on clients within those regions with no less than 5 years experience

POSITION INFO:

Are you strong at developing markets?  If so, you will be greatly rewarded. This role is looking for an individual to manage the achievement of company sales targets through identifying sales leads, drafting and presenting proposals, managing the standard of sales outputs.


Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the achievement of the company sales target

Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.

Identifying viable opportunities within the market through hunting leads

Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings

Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities

Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.

Planning and preparing presentations and proposals

Developing growth strategies and plans

Increasing client base

Researching business opportunities and viable income streams

Reporting on sales progress, conversions, and pipeline reporting directly to MD of South Africa

 

Skills

Good communication skills including negotiations and build long term relationships

A self-starter

Plenty of initiative

Target driven

 

Requirements

Proven track record of reaching targets

Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
