JOB SUMMARY:
Our client requires a Business/Technical Analyst to join their Gauteng team. (Hybrid).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum qualifications and experience required:

Qualification in IT Business Analyst (Diploma/Degree)
5-6 years overall BA experience of which 2-5 must be on custom developed solutions
3-5 years in software development
Experience in testing (manual or auto testing)
2-5 years experience working in an AWS and Terraform environment
Agile working experience advantageous

Role tasks:

Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives
Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation
Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
User training
Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
Review and present proposed system solution to User Organisation
Business process analysis and translation into functional and technical specifications
Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analysing functional requirements with Stakeholders
Structuring and prioritizing business requirements into technical requirements
Prioritize and organize requirements and create conceptual prototypes
Document requirements in appropriate detailed user stories (Agile methodology) including acceptance criteria of testers
Master strategic business process modelling, traceability and quality management techniques

Generic Technical / Functional skills

Understanding of integration between different technologies
Coordination between development and support environments
Assisting with business case
Planning and monitoring
Translating and simplifying requirements
Requirements analysis
Assist with identification and management of risks

Specific Technical / Functional skills

Familiar with Java development environment
Strong AWS/Terraform with Python experience
Good understanding and exposure to database systems
The ability to create reliable integration solutions in the cloud
Proven record of complex problem solving and decision making
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
