CA (SA) Financial Director

Our Client, a Nationally established Leader in the Manufacturing of Health care products is seeking to urgently appoint a dynamic CA (SA) Financial Director to be based in their Midrand Office.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

• Report directly into the MD,
• To oversee the perormance of offices based Cape Town, PE, KZN and Gauteng.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum CA(SA) with Oversees investment of funds experience
• At least 3-5 years Healthcare environment experience operating at a Finance Director level
• Manufacturing experience would be preferable
• Strong business partnering experience
• Strategic and Operational experience a distinct advantage
• Strong Senior Finance Leadership and People Mentorship acumen.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
• Work with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
• Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
• Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Review planning process and suggests improvements to current methods. Analyse operations to identify areas in need of reorganisation, downsizing, or elimination.
• Work with the MD and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
• Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
• Identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
• Oversee investment of funds and work with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
