JOB SUMMARY:
CA (SA) Financial Director, Manufacturing industry, Gauteng Office (R1.3 M per annum CTC).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client, a Nationally established Leader in the Manufacturing of Health care products is seeking to urgently appoint a dynamic CA (SA) Financial Director to be based in their Midrand Office.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

Report directly into the MD,
To oversee the performance of offices based in Cape Town, PE, KZN and Gauteng.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum CA(SA) with Oversees investment of funds experience
At least 3-5 years Healthcare environment experience operating at a Finance Director level
Manufacturing experience would be preferable
Strong business partnering experience
Strategic and Operational experience a distinct advantage
Strong Senior Finance Leadership and People Mentorship acumen.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
Work with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
Review planning process and suggests improvements to current methods. Analyse operations to identify areas in need of reorganisation, downsizing, or elimination.
Work with the MD and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
Identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
Oversee investment of funds and work with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
