SUMMARY:
A rare opportunity exists for a dynamic, visionary leader to join a progressive conservation organisation as a CEO Protégé. Based in South Africa with occasional travel across the continent, the successful candidate will help scale LCA’s impact across Sub-Saharan Africa. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, fundraising, and partnership-building abilities, combined with a passion for biodiversity, youth empowerment, and scalable conservation models.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

A first degree in Project Management, Business, Conservation Management, or a related field
Postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification/registration (advantageous)
Minimum 10 years’ leadership or executive-level experience, ideally in business development, project scaling, or cross-border initiatives
Demonstrated success in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight
Proven experience leading training, development, or mentorship programs
Exposure to or strong familiarity with biodiversity conservation principles and practices
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable operating across diverse sectors, cultures, and executive levels within Africa
Innovative thinker with a strong drive for impact, growth, and sustainability
Willingness to travel periodically within Africa
