CES - Senior Environmental Consultant

POSITION INFO:
The Role:

Essential Functions:

• Project experience and general all-round knowledge and understanding relevant to environmental consulting as appropriate to level; and specific knowledge of regulatory procedures related to environmental assessments (EIA BA)

Essential Qualification:

• BSc Environmental Science Master.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Qualification in environmental monitoring 
• Masters in relevant project 

Essential Experience Required:

• Mining sector experience (essential)
• 5 - 7 yearsâ?? relevant project experience
• General all-round knowledge and understanding relevant to environmental consulting as appropriate to level.
• Experience including specific knowledge of regulatory procedures related to environmental assessments (EIA BA)
• Water Use Licence applications and knowledge of a specialist field or fields.  

Desired Experience:

• Involvement in surface and ground water monitoring (desirable)
• Experience in environmental monitoring (desirable)

• Proactively identify and source business opportunities for medium to very large projects.
• Actively work towards achieving individual and business targets.
• Be able to proactively market company through the work you do and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain and grow company''s client base.
• Take the lead in preparing and submitting proposals under limited supervision from an Executive.
• Take full responsibility for all projects being undertaken by consultants and colleagues as Study Leader.
• Be able to act as mentor to consultants and senior consultants.
• Project manage large interdisciplinary team of consultants.
• Manage your own budgets and the related aspects of your projects, and ensure you remain in budget.
• Prepare sub-consultant and client contracts for your projects.
• Be prepared to multi-task (work on a number of projects at any one time).
• Continue to learn new skills and grow your expertise both within your chosen discipline and general consulting skills.
• Demonstrate the demand for your specialist skills.

• Ability to produce reports of a high standard and appropriate to their purpose.
• Ability to work in a consulting environment.
• Ability to work with others effectively and contribute to general cohesion amongst staff
• Proficient project management of budgets and time lines
• Ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with clients, authorities and stakeholders
• Proficient marketing skills
