SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Develop financial strategies

Develop and oversee the risk log and report to the Board and risk committee for all key risk items

Develop annual budget and financial requirements plan, monitor performance against this budget

Establish finance operational strategies and implementing change

Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances

Responsible for the creation and implementation of all financial policies in the business

Providing leadership, direction and management of the Finance, BI and accounting teams

Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community

Manage financial performance through understanding the key business levers, building models, providing insight, reporting and financial projections for the business

Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience, managing people and complex finance functions

Financial services industry experience preferred

Knowledge of corporate financial risk management practices

Excellent knowledge of data analysis

Start-up experience (Advantageous)

Qualification:

CA(SA) or MBA
