SUMMARY:
Commercial vetting of sub-contractor tenders and contractor.

POSITION INFO:

There is a position for COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/SENIOR QS based in Kempton park

Minimun of 10 years experience in quantity surveying within the civil construction industry (knowledge of GCC and JBCC contracts)

Requirement and skills , not limited to this:

4 years full-time or 5 years part-time BSc (QS) University degree.

3 years university of technology diploms sdvsncing with 1 years experience.

B-tech degree after further year of study

Valid driver''s ( own vehicle is an added advantage)

Commercially astute numerate, risk-averse and able to accuratelly forecast costs sales.

Ability to use construction costing software (candy)

Be able to provide both summerized and detailed reports , on current activities.

Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings , engineering estimateds, materials required and labour involved.

Prepare costs plans to enable design team to produce practical design for construction project within involved liaising with architects engineers and sub-constructors.

Prepare tender and contract documents including bill of quantities.

Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and where appropriate, negotiate wth the contractors.

Control all stages of project within predeternmined budget and expenditure.
