POSITION INFO:

Our client in the financial industry is looking for a COO to join their team.


Duties & Responsibilities:

* Execute strategies developed by the top management team/Board of Directors.
* Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs.
* Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
* Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
* Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
* Adhere to company, country, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and acting when necessary.
* Always ensure the profitability of the companies.
* Lead a specific strategic imperative/(s).
* Reach KPIs set by the top management team/Board of Directors as per Annexure A.
* Prepare Executive Summaries/Forecasts/Budgets/Proposals for reporting to the top management team/Board of Directors.
* Ensure that VeriCred’s reputation is upheld and improved upon.
* Complement a CEO’s/Managing Director experience or management style.
* Show the ropes to an inexperienced CEO/ Managing Director when succession planning is implemented. * Groom the organization’s next CEO or test the individual to make sure he or she is right for the job.

* Understands finance: The COO must have a track record of successful financial management.
* Decision-making skills: A successful COO must have superior decision-making skills.
* Delegation: Must have the ability to delegate effectively.
* Communication: The COO must possess executive-level communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external stakeholders, and have proven skills in negotiating and mediating conflict.
