CR 17237 - FINISHING FOREMEN (Senior & Junior)- Cape Town

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Senior Foreman will handle the following:

• Lead and coordinate all finishing trades on site, including carpentry, tiling, painting, ceilings, joinery, and final installations, ensuring all work meets the highest quality standards.
• Supervise site teams and subcontractors, providing clear direction, resolving issues on the ground, and maintaining steady progress toward project deadlines.
• Oversee and control material requirements for finishing works — including accurate ordering, handling, and usage — to prevent waste and manage costs effectively.
• Conduct detailed inspections and snag lists, ensuring all finishes are completed to specification and client expectations before handover.
• Manage the overall finishing phase of the construction site, maintaining close coordination with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and Quality Control teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, fostering a safe and efficient working environment for all trades on site.
• Monitor progress and quality daily, identifying potential delays or defects early and implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and management, providing regular updates and ensuring all finishing works align with design intent and contractual requirements.
• Support project handover preparation, ensuring all final touches, documentation, and quality checks are completed to a professional standard.
