POSITION INFO:
Employer Description A leading quantity surveying consultancy specialising in cost planning, contract administration and financial control across a diverse range of construction projects. Job Description Reporting into the Director, the Professionally registered Quantity Surveyor will handle the following: • Prepare feasibility estimates, cost plans, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects • Manage tendering and procurement processes including the preparation and evaluation of tender documentation • Provide contract administration services and advise clients on contractual matters • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle • Assess, negotiate, and manage variations, claims, and final accounts • Evaluate and certify contractor payment applications • Prepare cost reports, financial forecasts, and project progress updates for stakeholders • Conduct value engineering exercises to maximise project value and cost efficiency • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and professional regulations • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams to support successful project delivery • Provide commercial and risk management advice on construction and infrastructure projects • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of quantity surveying best practices Possible projects Abroad and in certain provinces of Southern Africa Qualifications BSc \/ BSc Honours \/ BTech in Quantity Surveying Must be registered with SACQSP as a PrQS (not candidacy) Skills Minimum 2 years post registration experience Salary\/Package R40 000 upwards
