CREATIVE CONTENT & PRODUCT SPECIALIST TRAVEL INDUSTRY

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:

Enquiry: Work closely with the Reservations team to source product and rates.

Creative: Matching experiences to guests’ profile / sourcing new and different experiences and driving them into the business.

Consult: Assist the reservations team in a consultative manner along with agents and guests to curate creative itineraries

Costing: Create special offers / packages for agents / procure special agent rates.

Operate: Support Reservation Managers (when required)

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong product knowledge covering Southern Africa (Essential)

• Experience in participating in supplier meetings and negotiations

• Travel consultant background

• Prior experience in a product role (An advantage)

• Current or prior supplier relationships

• Sourcing new “out of the ordinary” product & insider access experiences and communicate and drive through the business.

• Grow preferred product (commission structure)

• Requesting & processing of annual / adhoc supplier rates.

• Ensure supplier contract outlines terms and conditions including tour leader rates and FOCs

• Build and maintain supplier relationships

• Maintain preferred supplier list

• Identify trends & package development.

• Co-ordinate Supplier presentations and ensuring the attendance register is completed.

• Setting up Supplier meetings and communicate updates to business.

• Attend Supplier functions and workshops.

• Assisting to secure special agent rates when escalated by reservations

• Assist to reduce revenue loss when escalated by reservations
