Center Marketing Manager

SUMMARY:
The role incumbent provides oversight on all marketing related activities, while being involved on an operational level. A key aspect of this role is planning and managing the marketing budget for the Shopping Centre. Further more the Centre Marketing Manager will be overseeing the Sales & Exhibitions function as well as look after the Guest Relations Office

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Implements the overall Marketing strategy at a specific centre with the view of enhancing an exceptions Customer Experience.
• Plan marketing related activities in collaboration with the General Manager
• Aligns marketing initiatives to financial performance of the centre and provides monthly feedback
• Compiles marketing budget per centre (after receiving the total value from the General Manager based on Marketing income for the centre), ensuring all marketing related plans are taken into consideration on a local and Head Office level.
• Manage the marketing target, sales target and budget goals to ensure effective control of costs to increase cost efficiency.
• Presents the business case to motivate for ad hoc additional financial resources for example CSI contributions & approved overspend.
• Provides monthly feedback based on implemented and planned sales activities.
• Generate Sponsorships to support sales initiatives an additional income stream
• Consults with all the relevant parties to plan events that are required per annum.
• Allocates tasks to the responsible people (Sales Manager, GRM etc.) in advance. 
• Monitors the planning and activation of each event and take appropriate action where necessary
• Responds to requests from Management to rollout events that were not considered in the annual event calendar
• Oversees the management and representation of the Mall''s Brand
• Analyse data to get an understanding of Customer Analytics to understand the need for new products and service innovation.
• Develop strategies and business plans for the implementation of identified initiatives in collaboration with the Retail Marketing Manager
• Coordinates all sales activities at a specific centre with the view of generating additional income streams and increased profit
• Plan sales related activities in collaboration with the Marketing- and General Manager
• Exhibition and Advertising sales:
• Compiles the budget via comparative year-onyear growth.
• Oversees the sales target and budget to ensure targets are made
• Report on General Sales to Management
• Responsible for monthly invoicing and collection of monies due to Owner

Requirements:

• B. Comm Marketing and Communication or Marketing Degree or Diploma
• 5 years’ experience in a Marketing role, focusing on creating an exceptional Customer Experience. This includes experience with Brand Management, Event Management and Social Media Communication. Shopping Centre Marketing and Media Sales experience
