Chief Financial Officer

SUMMARY:
We’ve recently partnered with a leading manufacturing powerhouse that’s on the lookout for a dynamic CA(SA) to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer. This newly created position calls for a strategic, hands-on leader who’s ready to elevate the finance function and help steer the business into its next phase of growth and innovation. It’s a pivotal leadership opportunity for a commercially astute finance executive who understands the complexities of manufacturing operations and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

POSITION INFO:

As the Chief Financial Officer, your duties include the following:
Drive the Group’s financial strategy to support turnaround and long-term growth
Advise the CEO, Board, and Investment Committee on capital allocation and strategic funding decisions
Act as the commercial lead, focused on margin growth, capital efficiency, and sustainable operations
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and reporting across plant and Group levels
Ensure accurate, timely management accounts and statutory financials
Drive effective cash flow, working capital, and treasury management
Oversee audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting (CIPC, SARS, etc.)
Implement cost accounting frameworks to track production costs and margins
Align financial planning with operations, production, and sales goals
Analyse pricing, inventory, and input costs to drive efficiency and profitability
Enhance internal controls, compliance, and governance across the Group
Improve and integrate ERP systems for real-time financial oversight
Drive automation and best practices to streamline finance processes and reduce risk
Set and track KPIs across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial
Use key metrics to drive accountability and performance
Lead scenario analysis and evaluate investments, product lines, and customer growth opportunities

Skills & Experience:
10 years of financial management experience
Proven experience working in the manufacturing industry
Robust understanding of compliance, risk management and internal controls in complex environments

Qualification:
Qualified CA(SA)
