SUMMARY:
A dynamic and rapidly growing oil and gas organisation is seeking an ambitious Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional who is excited by the challenge of building a finance function from the ground up and playing a pivotal role in the long-term growth of the business.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will partner closely with the executive team to establish a robust financial infrastructure, implement best-in-class accounting systems and internal controls, and provide strategic financial leadership as the organization continues to expand. This role is ideally suited to an individual who is looking to make a lasting impact and build a long-term career within a high-growth environment. Minimum Requirements CA(SA) qualification is essential. 5-10 years' post-qualification experience. Significant experience within the oil and gas sector is non-negotiable. Proven experience in start-up, scale-up, or high-growth organisations. Demonstrated ability to establish and lead a finance function from inception. Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, taxation, treasury, and financial reporting. Experience implementing ERP\/accounting systems, financial controls, and reporting frameworks. Key Responsibilities Establish and lead the finance function, including building a high-performing finance team. Develop and implement accounting policies, financial controls, and governance frameworks. Select and implement accounting and ERP systems to support business growth. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning. Oversee statutory reporting, annual financial statements, tax compliance, and external audits. Develop financial models to support commercial decision-making and business expansion. Manage treasury, banking relationships, and working capital. Provide strategic financial insight to the executive team and Board. Ensure compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
