Chief Operating Officer (Renewable Energy & Infrastructure)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer to lead the delivery of large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects. This executive role requires a strategic leader who can unite multiple project teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Lead and coordinate multiple project and construction workstreams Drive project delivery, performance, and operational efficiency Oversee programme schedules, budgets, and commercial performance Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards Manage contractor relationships and key stakeholder engagement Establish clear governance, reporting structures, and performance metrics Identify and mitigate operational and commercial risks Skills & Experience: Proven leadership experience on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or construction projects Strong project integration, programme management, and commercial oversight skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities Strategic, decisive, and results-driven leadership style Experience in renewable energy or major capital projects is advantageous Minimum 15+ years of relevant industry experience Minimum 8+ years in a senior leadership or executive role Qualification: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Engineering recruitment vacancies.
