POSITION INFO:
Our client is a trailblazer in freight forwarding and supply chain solutions, with a rock-solid reputation across Southern Africa and a bold plan for continental growth. With international partnerships and multi-modal operations, they’re ready for their next phase — but they need a leader who can turn big vision into daily execution.
As COO, you’ll be the heartbeat of the organisation. Think end-to-end operations. Think high-level strategy. Think hands-on leadership. You’ll work side-by-side with the CFO, and ideally, you bring some CFO experience yourself — because understanding the numbers is just as critical as moving the goods.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

- Lead all operational functions across warehousing, logistics, freight forwarding, and customer service
- Partner with the CFO to align operational performance with financial targets
- Drive margin improvement, process optimisation, and tech-enabled transformation
- Implement and oversee group-wide KPIs, systems, and reporting frameworks
- Champion culture, compliance, and continuous improvement across all sites
- Be the bridge between vision and execution — from boardroom to warehouse

📘 Job Experience and Skills Required:

🎓 Education:
- Qualified CA(SA) — non-negotiable
🧠 Experience:
- 15–20+ years in senior finance or operational leadership roles
- Proven success in freight forwarding, supply chain, or logistics
- Track record of leading multi-site, complex operations
- CFO or strong financial oversight experience = huge advantage
- Executive-level stakeholder engagement — board, investors, partners
