Christmas Product Manager (DBN)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

v3-5 Years’ Product Management experience.

vMarketing graduate.

vOwn reliable transport.

vStrong administrative skills.

Responsibilities:

vAdministrative management of the portfolio.

vMaster Schedule:

ØSet up annually, updated on a weekly basis, to ensure that the production / importing deadlines are met, and that we do not run late on certain processes.

vSourcing of and liaison with product suppliers – local and overseas:

ØConstant updates on suppliers in terms of pricing and product changes & updates.

ØSample requests & updated product details and correct sample specs.

ØCreate import orders & liaise with suppliers to ensure all detail on the order is correct.

vMarket analysis:

ØIdentification of opportunities for growth, existing and new product.

ØRegular trade visits to assess company product, positioning, price in the trade, as well as competitor activity and price, and opportunities that present themselves as a result of this.

vPricing:

ØUpdating supplier prices / Company DC’s, shipping rates, latest landed costs, and ROE’s.

ØEnsure customer wholesale and retail prices are correct and up to date at the time of the price increase exercise.

ØCompletion of schedule in preparation for meeting with management to discuss and agree on increases.

vTrade Shows & Customer portfolio presentations.:

ØParticipation in trade shows – SARCDA, Retail Trade shows.

ØProduct / design selection and layout planning.

ØEnsuring stock is ready and sent, preparation of required documentation, (briefs / pricing / order forms)

ØAttendance at trade shows as determined by Management.
