POSITION INFO:

🚀 Opportunity: Client-Facing Accountant / Team Lead in Johannesburg!

A dynamic, client-focused financial services business is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the accounting function in Johannesburg.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a professional ready to step into a Client-Facing Accountant / Team Lead role. The successful candidate will be hands-on, independent, and excited to work in a growing business environment.

Key Role Highlights:

Leadership & Delegation: Own a portfolio of clients end-to-end , lead engagements, plan workloads, assign tasks to a junior team, and review outputs (AFS, management accounts, SARS/CIPC filings).

Full Accounting Function: Handle the full accounting function , including the preparation and submission of management accounts, AFS, and internal financial reports.

Relationship Focus: Drive new business and deepen long-term client relationships.

Compliance: Ensure maintenance of SARS and CIPC compliance.

Salary Range: R20,000–R25,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Start Date: Soonest.

Minimum Requirements Include:

A BCom Degree in Accounting or a related field (REQUIRED).

3 years minimum relevant working experience in an accounting environment.

Proven team lead/delegation experience (reviewing junior work, setting priorities).

Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, SAGE, or similar accounting systems.

Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Additional accounting qualifications (e.g., SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA) will be a distinct advantage.
