SUMMARY:
Are you a CA(SA) looking to move into a high-impact commercial role within the mining industry? Our client, a globally recognized multinational mining company, is seeking a dynamic Commercial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team in Johannesburg North.

POSITION INFO:
This is a rare opportunity to combine your strong technical foundation with strategic commercial exposure in one of the world’s most influential industries. If you have solid experience auditing mining companies or are currently working within the mining sector, and you’re ready to influence business decisions rather than just report on them, this role is built for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering commercial insights and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Partnering with operational teams to evaluate mining project performance and profitability.
Preparing and analysing budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Identifying cost optimisation opportunities and improving financial efficiency.
Supporting capital expenditure evaluations and investment decisions.
Providing detailed variance analysis and performance reporting.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) (essential).
Minimum 3 years’ post-articles experience with a strong mining background.
Strong exposure to the mining sector, either through auditing mining clients, or working directly within a mining organisation.
