Commercial Finance Business Partner

A reputable multinational concern who manufactures, markets, and distributes spices, seasoning, mixes and condiments to food manufacturers and retail outlets is looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their finance team in South Africa. This is a commercial strategic role allowing the individual to partner with the different business units and provide insight.

A reputable multinational concern who manufactures, markets, and distributes spices, seasoning, mixes and condiments to food manufacturers and retail outlets is looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their finance team in South Africa.  This is a commercial strategic role allowing the individual to partner with the different business units and provide insight. The role requires an individual with similar experience.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Commercial Finance Business Partner will be responsible for business partnering with the commercial team and the supply chain team to identify opportunities and strategies to target growth areas within key customers and/or new customers/markets. The Commercial Finance Business Partner will be responsible for preparing and managing customer and product profitability analysis and reporting as well controlling all aspects of pricing including ROI and price modelling. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and correcting customer selling price variances and commenting on main raw material movements and risks involved. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing and presenting the monthly S&OP financial report, analyzing on main raw material movements and risks involved, providing guidance on life cycle management and improving core commercial finance processes where needed.  

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom in Accounting
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles is preferred
• Completed CIMA is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 5 years’ post article experience in a similar role
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is preferred
• Experience working in a multinational/global FMCG industry is non-negotiable
• Exposure to costing and management of the P&L would be advantageous
• Proven ability to build, influence and sustain relationships at all levels of the organization
• Ability to present to senior management using presentation software
• Experience in performing a business partnering function with the commercial, finance and supply chain teams
• Experience dealing with pricing cycles and performing variance analysis
• Experience dealing with margin improvement
