SUMMARY:
A leading player in the agricultural sector is looking for a commercially driven Commercial Manager – Retail to take ownership of retail strategy, revenue growth, and margin optimisation across South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Drive and execute the retail commercial strategy
Deliver revenue growth, margin expansion, and market share gains
Lead category management, pricing, and promotional strategies
Own retail P&L, forecasting, and financial performance
Optimise inventory, order pipelines, and product portfolio
Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitors
Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
Lead and develop high-performing commercial teams
Drive digital optimisation, systems, and data-driven decision-making
Collaborate across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance

Requirements

Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, or similar (MBA advantageous)
5+ years’ experience in a senior commercial / retail leadership role
Proven track record in revenue growth and margin improvement
Strong experience in retail, pricing, and category management
Solid understanding of P&L and financial analysis
Experience with ERP / CRM systems (SAP advantageous)
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
