We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology solutions provider for an experienced Commodities Account Manager to join their Cape Town team. This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and owning the sales process end to end.

POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Be Doing

Account & Relationship Management

Act as the primary point of contact for allocated customers
Grow and maintain long-term customer relationships
Develop and maintain up-to-date account plans

Sales & Business Development

Identify, canvass and secure new business opportunities
Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline
Own the full sales cycle — from opportunity identification to quoting and deal closure
Respond to leads, referrals and sales enquiries in a timely manner

Customer & Internal Collaboration

Work with customers to understand current and future needs, while constructively challenging the status quo
Align internal specialist resources to opportunities and drive them to completion
Collaborate with sales teams and business units across the organisation
Liaise with technical and support teams on solution requirement

Operational & Vendor Engagement

Prepare accurate quotes and proposals
Ensure internal documentation is completed correctly to enable billing and invoicing
Understand and follow vendor processes, including deal registrations and pricing enquiries
Monitor, report and forecast on pipeline opportunities and sales activity
