JOB SUMMARY:
The candidate will be reporting to the Marketing Director and MUST have a sound command of written and spoken Afrikaans.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible to develop and manage a best practice framework for the company’s marketing and communications function across South African, Africa and International business operations.

This must be achieved by utilisation of the company’s Marketing Strategy and communication channels to design and implement the communication framework that will lead to effective dissemination of marketing information, creation of brand awareness and business growth.

Qualifications and Experience required:

Communications, business, or agriculture degree
PRISA accredited
8 years’ relevant experience in a related role
Deep knowledge and understanding of the agricultural sector and its value chains / players
Experience beyond RSA’s borders an advantage within the agriculture sector

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Strategy Development and Brand Management
Content Generation
Communications (internal and external)
Media and Social Media Strategy
Events Management
Stakeholder Engagement
Budgets and Reporting

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies required:

Good knowledge of the agriculture sector.
Good knowledge of the agriculture sub-culture.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and high-quality delivery.
Customer-centric in support of the sales teams.
Excellent writing and editing skills, ability to adjust writing style according to audience.
Strong competence and understanding of social media and websites.
Sound command of written and spoken Afrikaans.
Strong collaborator internally and externally, supporting the company.
