Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements while driving company secretarial best practices across the business. This role offers exposure to board and committee governance, corporate compliance, legal administration, B-BBEE initiatives, ESG reporting, property compliance, data privacy matters, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will become a trusted advisor within the organisation, ensuring governance frameworks remain effective and compliant while supporting business growth and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Maintain statutory registers, corporate records, governance policies, and company secretarial documentation. Prepare and submit statutory filings, annual returns, and CIPC documentation, ensuring ongoing compliance with the Companies Act and Memorandum of Incorporation. Coordinate board, committee, and shareholder meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, action tracking, and governance reporting. Support legal compliance initiatives, contract administration, regulatory monitoring, and stakeholder communications. Oversee B-BBEE compliance processes and assist with SETA, Department of Labour, and employment equity submissions. Support ESG reporting, data privacy governance, POPIA and PAIA compliance, insurance administration, and property title compliance activities. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Matric essential. A relevant Diploma or tertiary qualification will be advantageous. Experience: Minimum 10 years' proven experience in a Company Secretary, Governance, Compliance, or related role. Strong experience with board and committee administration, statutory compliance, and corporate governance frameworks. Experience dealing with CIPC submissions, company secretarial records, and regulatory reporting requirements. Exposure to legal administration, contract management, B-BBEE compliance, and data privacy legislation will be advantageous.
