SUMMARY:
Compliance and Process Safety Specialist SADC position available in the the SHERQ division for our reputable client based in Bryanston.

Purpose of the role is:

Secure the organization license to operate by ensuring relevant regulatory and statutory requirements are compiled with.
Maintain and improve the divisional process safety program in line with Group framework.
Align and maintain the divisional operational risk framework with the Group framework.

Minimum Requirements:

Barchelors' degree in technical field (mining, engineering, chemistry supported by speacilist safety certificates or equivalent. (Mining background/exposure compulsory)
5-7 years demonstrated experience in operational compliance and safety
2-3 years demonstrated experience in SHERQ management systems.
ISO 45000 exposure and auditing

Skills:

Ability to present information in a consistent, organized and accurate way.
Problem solving and decision making
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to process and analyze high volumes of data.
Ability to develop/write technical reports and presentations.
Excellent interpersonal /customer relationship required.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Ensure that all the requirements of the mine, Health and Safety Act, OHS Act, Explosive Act, and statutory requirements applicable to the division are being adhered to. Maintain an effective framework to deliver and track this.
Conduct internal 2nd party compliance and process safety audits across the SADC manufacturing and operating sites.
Site legal registers to be maintained and actioned as required.
Audit SOP''s and Business Procedures to ensure Procedures to ensure Process Safety adherence and compliance.
Identify relevant training programs and service providers to deliver appropriate training for line management to keep abreast of relevant changes to legislation.
