POSITION INFO:
Our client is a major diversified industrial business with deep roots in Southern Africa and operations spanning multiple markets. They are known for strong stakeholder relationships, a values-driven culture, and a focus on operational excellence. You’ll be part of a dynamic finance team that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal if you enjoy working with financial data from multiple sources and have a flair for ensuring numbers are not only correct but meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and internal reporting standards.
Lead the consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of results from multiple business units.
Analyze consolidation variances and drive resolution of accounting issues or discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis, audits, and reporting requests from stakeholders.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA(SA) qualified).
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting or consolidation reporting.
Exposure to group consolidation within a corporate environment is highly advantageous.
Previous work with multi-entity financial reporting and cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, modelling).
Experience with ERP or consolidation systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) a plus.
Excellent communication skills – able to explain numbers to non-financial stakeholders.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Integrity with confidentiality in handling financial data.
Willingness to support process improvements and system upgrades.
