Construction Buyer

Summary of this role:

• Sourcing suppliers
• Negotiating prices with suppliers
• Ensuring the products are delivered on time
• Assist with Quotes for the Tender Department
• Sign off Creditors for payments

Essential skills required:
CCS Buildsmart skills are essential

Experience required:
Must have 10 to 15 years experience gained ideally with a civil or building contractor in a Purchasing role

Summary of our client:
Our Client has over the last 40 years emerged as one of the leading civil engineering contractors in the Western Cape. With their primary focus being on reinforced concrete, Our Client has successfully completed well over 200 projects.

These include reservoirs, waste water treatment works, water treatment plants, pump stations and bridges. Our clients building division has completed many industrial and commercial building projects, which include warehousing, office space and numerous renovations and extensions within the food-processing and pharmaceutical environments.

The experience and knowledge gained over this period, together with our clients commitment to quality, safety and the environment form the foundation upon which they build all their projects.

Being a LEVEL 1 contributor in terms of the BBEEE codes of good practice they are registered with the CIDB as a level 8CE;8GB.
