Construction Manager, East London

SUMMARY:

A reputable civil and building construction company based in East London is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Construction Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in large-scale building projects and civil engineering works, who is open to working outside of South Africa on cross-border projects in Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, and other locations as required

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• National Diploma / Degree in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential with strong experience).
• Proven experience as a Construction Manager within the civil and building construction industry
• Fluency in English, with working knowledge of Afrikaans and at least one South African native language
• Valid Code 10–14 driver’s license
• Valid passport and willingness to travel and work outside South Africa
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
• Strong project planning, budgeting, and cost control experience
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Oversee and manage full project lifecycle from inception to completion
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and site teams
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual obligations
• Report to senior management on progress, risks, and financial performance
