Contracts Administrator(18 month contract) Market-related Salary Cape Town, South Africa Position Summary The Contract Administrator is responsible for end-to-end administration of NEC ECC3 contracts representing the Contractor, while providing project administration, document control, reporting, stakeholder coordination and governance support across the project lifecycle. Key interface of this role includes; Project Management, Engineering, Construction, SHEQ, Procurement & Logistics, Controlling, Suppliers and Clients. Role and Responsibilities include: NEC Contract Administration: o Administer Early Warnings, Compensation Events, PM Instructions, Notifications and Quotations o Compile and maintain contract registers and contractual correspondence. o Monitor contractual time-bars and response periods. o Prepare contractual notification templates. o Assist with programme submissions and acceptance tracking. Commercial Support: o Support payment applications and assessment records. o Track compensation event budgets and approvals. o Supply and Subcontract administration. Project Administration: o Organise and prepare meetings and workshops. o Compile agendas, minutes and task trackers. o Regular task status checks with project team members. o Facilitate compilation and submission of weekly and monthly reports. Document Control: o Manage document transmittals, revisions and filing systems. o Submission of project and contract documents within client document management platforms. Experience and Core Competencies: Education & Qualifications Qualification or relevant experience in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Project Management or Contract Management. NEC3\/NEC4 accreditation preferred. Experience Minimum 5 years project administration experience with at least 3 years NEC ECC3\/ECC4 contract administration experience on infrastructure, energy, water, mining or industrial projects. Technical Skills Proficient in NEC ECC3\/ECC4, Microsoft Office, document management systems, contract registers and commercial reporting. Working knowledge of standard form contracts (FIDIC, GCC, JBCC, etc.) Personal Attributes: Reliable and excellent time management. Well organized and structured work methods.
