SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Contracts Manager to lead group-purchasing contract negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-saving initiatives for our member institutions. This role is key to ensuring value, compliance, and operational efficiency across our procurement activities.

ð¢ Job Opportunity: Contracts Manager | Procurement and Supply Chain
ð Location: Midrand, South Africa
ð° Salary: R 500 000 – R 600 000 per annum

ð ï¸ Key Responsibilities:

Negotiate and manage contracts to maximise ROI and service quality.
Lead tender processes and ensure legal compliance.
Drive e-tender and catalogue system effectiveness.
Identify savings opportunities and report to the CEO and Finance.
Engage with stakeholders, suppliers, and advisory committees.
Supervise one Administrator and support regional procurement activities.

ð Dimensions:

Financial: Ensure cost-effective systems, track and report savings.
Non-Financial: Manage staff, regional activities, and user groups.

â ï¸ Major Challenges:

Deliver measurable ROI and cost savings.
Develop new contracts aligned with member needs.
Manage high workload, demanding stakeholders, and frequent travel.

ð Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s in Commerce, Business Management, or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years in corporate procurement.
Skills:

Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier evaluation skills;
Knowledge of procurement frameworks and e-procurement systems;
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities; and
Advanced Office 365 proficiency.
