SUMMARY:
A growing player in the insurance industry is seeking a meticulous and systems-savvy Control Accountant to support its finance operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional who understands the nuances of insurance accounting and thrives in a control-focused environment. Experience using Xero is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Perform and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, with a focus on control accounts and technical insurance balances.
Ensure financial integrity through the timely identification and resolution of discrepancies.
Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and ledger reviews.
Uphold internal control standards and support compliance with insurance industry regulations.

Requirements:

BCom in Accounting or Finance (essential).
Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in the insurance sector (non-negotiable).
Proficiency in Xero and a solid understanding of control account management.
Strong reconciliation skills and a high level of accuracy and accountability.
