Core Voice Engineer

SUMMARY:
A Telecommunications company based in Midrand is looking for a Core Voice Engineer to join their team. 

The Core Voice Engineer will be responsible for the operation, optimization, implementation and design of the company's core voice infrastructure

POSITION INFO:
Duties (including but not limited to):

• Maintain and design SIP core platforms, numbering plans and call flows, and call routing and interconnect architecture
• Optimise, configure and manage SIP trunks and interconnects, and Session Border Controllers
• Secure SIP environments against toll fraud, DoS, and SIP based attacks
• Provide third line support for complex incidents
• Perform advanced SIP Signalling and RTP media troubleshooting
• Integrate core voice platforms
• Ensure interoperability across multi-vendor environments
• Maintain and implement voice security controls
• Support pre-sales and solution design for complex requirements

• Expertise in SIP-based voice networks
• Avdanced SIP troubleshooting experience
• Qos optimisation and RTP media flow analysis
• High-availability design (active/passive, active/active)
• Strong IP Networking knowledge
• 5+ Years experience in a similar role
• Experience working for a MSP, carrier, or provider preferred
• Proven experience managing high-volume, business-critical voice platforms
• Must reside in or around Midrand/ must be willing to relocate closer to Midrand
