JOB DESCRIPTION:

Cost Accountant – Gouda, Cape Winelands - R25,000 per month

The Cost Accountant will be responsible to oversee the day-to-day production transactions involving all stock related items, stock management and production costing & report to the Financial Manager.

Requirements:

Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance related

Excel intermediate to advanced

Strong Planning and execution skills

SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) knowledge will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

Maintaining and managing manufacturing software:

Update standard cost in BOM’s
Ensure that accurate and timeous feedback is given (strive for real-time data)
Create and maintain BOM’s
Administrator of Xperdyte and users
Conduct month-end rollover
Construct and monitor data accumulation systems

Inventory management:

Coordinate physical inventory counts
Manage WIP value
Investigate and resolve stock variances
Oversee/Review all stock movement
Stock management improvement initiatives
Evolution & Xperdyte user training
Managing stock accuracy
Inventory recon reports
CHEP pallet/bin management

Production analysis:

Maintain, review, and create production reports according to production requirements
Review standard and actual cost for above standard recurring deviances
Breakeven analysis by product and division
Margin analysis by product and division
Analyze changes in production design, manufacturing methods and raw materials to determine effect on cost
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products
