As the Cost Accountant, you’ll play a central role in understanding what drives performance, from raw material costing and production variances to margin optimisation and continuous improvement across the value chain. Your financial acumen and operational curiosity will directly influence strategy and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and analyse standard and actual costs of manufactured goods and components.
Investigate production variances and partner with operations to optimise efficiency.
Conduct monthly cost reconciliations and prepare cost reports for management.
Monitor inventory valuation, waste, and yield analysis across multiple product lines.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis for new and existing SKUs.
Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives across finance and operations.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom Accounting Degree (CIMA advantageous).
Minimum 3–5 years costing experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory control.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Syspro / Sage X3 preferred).
Analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
A proactive communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally and influencing decisions.
