POSITION INFO:
A well-established organisation within the mining, manufacturing, and FMCG sector is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for product costing, cost analysis, financial controls, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial insights. Key Responsibilities: Perform and maintain accurate product costing and cost allocation processes Analyse manufacturing and operational costs to identify trends and efficiencies Prepare and review cost reports and variance analyses Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Monitor inventory and stock-related costs Support month-end and year-end reporting processes Ensure compliance with financial controls and company policies Partner with operational teams to improve profitability and cost management Assist with audit preparation and implementation of audit recommendations Provide management with meaningful financial insights and reporting Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Accounting or related qualification essential Completed Articles advantageous 5-10 years of relevant finance experience Experience within Mining, Manufacturing, or FMCG industries is essential Strong product costing experience required Audit background highly advantageous Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and engage with cross-functional teams Apply now!
