A busy manufacturing business is looking for a hands-on Cost Accountant / Inventory Controller to take responsibility for product costing, inventory accuracy, production reconciliations and stock controls.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Cost Accountant who wants to develop strong practical experience in manufacturing, operational finance and inventory management.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate inventory records and protect the integrity of the inventory and production systems. Control and validate all inventory movements. Perform product costing, cost calculations and standard-cost reviews. Reconcile production batches, recipes, yields and stock usage. Analyse production margins, losses, wastage and yield variances. Investigate and resolve inventory and costing discrepancies. Plan, coordinate and supervise monthly stock takes. Reconcile physical stock against system records. Develop and improve inventory-control procedures. Assist with costing and inventory controls for new products and product ranges. Ensure production information is captured accurately on the operating system. Work closely with Production, Operations and Finance to ensure reliable costing and stock information. Minimum Requirements: Relevant qualification in Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting or Finance . Experience in cost accounting, inventory control or manufacturing accounting . Good knowledge of product costing, standard costing, stock reconciliations, gross margins, production yields and wastage. Strong Excel skills. Comfortable working with ERP, inventory or production systems. Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies. Able to work confidently with finance, production and operational teams. Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production would be highly advantageous.
