SUMMARY:
Our client in the Healthcare Manufacturing sector requires a Cost Accountant, based in Contermanskloof, Cape Farms

POSITION INFO:

Key objectives include the following:

Production Cost Management
Reporting on Operational Performance
Bill of Material (BOM) maintenance

Responsibilities

Review and Maintenance of BOMs
Review and Maintenance of Machine Rates and Labour Rates
Reporting on Production Performance and Outputs
Reporting on Production Efficiencies
Tracking of production Deviations
Work in Progress validation and Tracking
Analysis of Production Input costs and Yield
Studying and collecting data to determine costs linked to business activity and product cost
Margin/Profitability Analysis by division and Product Grouping
Analysis of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, to determine effects on cost
Providing estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
Inventory Valuation and Revaluation
Analysis and Assisting in Capital Budgeting/Expenditure requests
Assisting with Month end close of the General Ledger
Assisting with Budget and Forecast Preparation
Assisting with the maintenance of accurate Financial Records

Requirements:

5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
CIMA Qualification or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Goal orientated
Ability to work under pressure
Analytical and Accurate with attention to detail
ERP Experience
Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions
Developing Cost Analysis Models
MS office experience required
