Cost Controller: 4 Year Contract (Sandton)

Short Description / Purpose of the job:

Provide a comprehensive cost controls service to the Subsurface & Well Delivery within the Mozambique Gas Projects portfolio. Supporting the Manager Project Controls.
provide a high-quality cost control support to Well Delivery Supporting the development of an integrated control base and for the monthly reporting of cost performance against the integrated control base. Support the Well delivery team to establish the well specific Authorization for Expenditure (AFE). Ensure that all Board decisions relating to costs are implemented and adhered to on projects. Ensure that the project is capitalised and perform financial closure.

POSITION INFO:
Key Accountabilities:

Project experience
Support the development of ICB
Linking the cost report and SAP structure to ICB structure
Support the project manager in developing the Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) to the PPA partners
Prepare a well specific AFE''s in collaboration with the Well Delivery team
Monitor VOWD against the control base, perform a cost and commitment reconciliations on a monthly basis
Developing monthly cost reports against the approved cost baseline
Create and update the SAP WBS structure
Creating PR in SAP to maintain commitments on the project
Validating the value of work done (VOWD) against the ICB
Quality assures cost updates
Conducting Level 1 assurance (health checks) as described in the procedures
Managing project cost change management process
Attending change management meetings
Updating the PVP register including sequential numbering of changes
Obtaining all the documentation required to raise a risk or PVP
Loading of PR for the approved contract changes
Creating VP''s and updates cost report with these VP''s
Compiling the cost forecast and review forecast data based on the latest data as received from the contractor
Developing and maintaining the cost risk register
Assisting the risk simulation tool monthly basis to produce risk value (probabilistic value at P50 range)
Managing expenses against commitments on projects
Calculating Value of Work Done (VOWD) on the project
Capitalising the project at the project completion
Execute applicable SOX and internal controls
