POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures
Prepare and analyze cost reports, financial statements, and budget forecasts
Monitor and manage expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and strategic initiatives
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Accounting / Finance
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial management
Experience with JD Edwards is advantageous

Skills & Competencies:

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
Having a continuous improvement mindset
Willingness to work overtime if and when needed
