A leading and well-established organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking a highly analytical Costing Manager to join their finance team based in Johannesburg South. This is an excellent opportunity for a CIMA-qualified professional with deep expertise in costing, budgeting, and product profitability analysis.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the full costing function, ensuring the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), monitoring production variances, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial insights. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering with operations to improve margins and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full product costing function
Maintain and review Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Analyse manufacturing and production variances
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
Monitor inventory valuation and cost accuracy
Conduct profitability and margin analysis
Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensure compliance with internal controls and costing standards

Job Experience & Qualifications:

BCom and CIMA qualification essential
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong exposure to product costing and BOM management
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and business partnering ability
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
