POSITION INFO:
Our client is a market-leading commercial finance provider, empowering South African businesses with innovative funding solutions that fuel growth. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a driven Credit Analyst to join their dynamic Credit team. Key Responsibilities Evaluate commercial funding applications by analysing financial statements, bank statements, and credit bureau information. Make informed credit decisions within delegated authority while recommending larger transactions for approval. Identify potential risks, assess mitigating factors, and ensure every decision aligns with company credit policies. Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and contribute to maintaining a healthy lending portfolio. Job Experience and Skills Required Education Matric (Grade 12) is essential. A Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field will be advantageous. Experience 1-3 years' experience in Credit Analysis, Underwriting, or Credit Risk within financial services, commercial lending, or asset-based finance. Strong experience assessing SME creditworthiness and interpreting financial statements. Exposure to credit bureau platforms such as TransUnion or similar systems will be advantageous. Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer literacy. Excellent analytical and financial assessment abilities. Strong commercial acumen with a sound understanding of credit risk principles. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the confidence to make informed lending decisions in a fast-paced environment. Apply now!
