POSITION INFO:
One of South Africa's most advanced and fast-moving distribution environments is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Distribution Centre Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence, warehouse optimisation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making across a world-class fulfilment operation. If you thrive in high-volume logistics environments and enjoy solving complex operational challenges through data, systems, and process improvement, this role will place you at the forefront of supply chain innovation. The Opportunity: You will play a key role in improving distribution centre performance by analysing operational data, identifying efficiency opportunities, redesigning processes, and implementing solutions that improve productivity, throughput, capacity utilisation, and customer service levels. Working alongside Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, and Technology teams, you will help shape the future of one of South Africa's most sophisticated supply chain networks. Key Responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and fulfilment operations Conduct operational analysis to identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies Develop and implement warehouse optimisation strategies Analyse labour productivity, capacity utilisation, throughput, and operational performance Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement projects Design and improve warehouse layouts, slotting strategies, and material flows Develop KPI dashboards and operational reporting using Power BI and advanced analytics tools Conduct time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis Support automation, systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives Collaborate with operations teams to improve service levels, accuracy, and operational efficiency Utilise data to drive strategic operational decisions and business improvements Minimum Requirements: BEng Industrial Engineering, BSc Industrial Engineering, or BEngTech Industrial Engineering 2-5 years' experience within: Warehousing Distribution Logistics Supply Chain E-Commerce FMCG Manufacturing Strong understanding of: Warehouse Operations Distribution Centre Operations Supply Chain Optimisation Process Engineering Continuous Improvement Technical Requirements: Advanced Power BI Advanced Excel SQL (Advantageous) Tableau (Advantageous) WMS and ERP exposure Data visualisation and reporting expertise Lean Six Sigma certification (Advantageous) What We're Looking For: Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Passion for operational excellence Data-driven decision-maker Continuous improvement mindset Excellent stakeholder engagement skills Ability to influence operational teams through facts and insights Strong project management capability Curious, innovative, and solutions-driven Why Join?
