JOB SUMMARY:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for an experienced draughtsperson with knowledge within the steel and light manufacturing industry to assist the company in ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the necessary specifications, policies and procedures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Producing engineering models and drawings.
Model & Detail parts as requested from workshop.
Create shop detail drawings to assist workshop when fabricating.
Create developments and bill of materials for buyers to order material from.
Ensure all client requests are adhered to when completing jobs.
Create bill of materials from 3D models for quotation purposes.
Ensure job instructions are done accordingly.
Site visits for meetings, measurements, and assessments for jobs.
Completion of all works within the approved budget and schedule constraints
Assisting with expediting orders and make sure delivery dates are adhered to.
Assist buyers with CAD details where possible to save time.
Communicate all discrepancies on models or drawings to direct line manager.
Communicate daily with workshop manager to expedite on any outstanding materials or drawings.
Assist with all technical enquiries
Fabrication Project Management tasks with Technical Director

Experience & Qualification

N6 qualification
Minimum of five years experience
Drafting background and suitable qualifications (experience in Trutops and NCNet will be huge advantage)
Autodesk AutoCAD & Inventor
Strong work ethic and attention to details
Experience using MS Office package
Ability to produce clear and informative production drawings and technical information
Works systematically to ensure completion of tasks to meet deadlines and clients’ expectations
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Ability to effectively prioritise workload
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Proficient as a team player with excellent communication skills, but also able to work on own initiative
