Data & Analytics Delivery Manager

SUMMARY:
The formulation, implementation and management of the Data Office delivery strategy, model and processes. The management of the Enterprise Data & Analytics portfolio projects and initiatives.

POSITION INFO:

The formulation, implementation and management of the Data Office delivery strategy, model and processes. The management of the Enterprise Data & Analytics portfolio projects and initiatives. The building and maintaining of relationships with Business Stakeholders. Establishing and maintaining the functional competency of the Data & Analytics Delivery team.

Responsibilities

Data & Analytics Delivery Strategy and Roadmap

Identify, develop and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues and optimise cost savings of Data & Analytics projects and initiatives

Data Portfolio Management

Responsible for project management of D&A projects through the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering through to implementation

Resource planning for and delivery on D&A business and technical projects

Manage coordination between the different Data Teams and between the Data Office, the Strategic Project Office (SPO) and other IT teams

Business Stakeholder Relationship Management

Single point of communication between the Data Office and the Business on D&A deliverables

Team Management

Manage a team of Delivery Leads and Scrum Masters

Relationship Building & Collaboration

Establish effective and collaborative partnerships with SPO, relevant IT teams (particularly D&A source systems) and Business Users

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 Relevant 3 year tertiary or NQF aligned qualification

> 8 years’ experience in IT

> 5 years in a Data & Analytics role

> 3 years in an IT Project Management role

Proven track record of delivering on complex IT projects

Proven track record of business relationship management and internal business networking

Solid understanding of end-to-end Data environments and D&A technologies

Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills with strong influencing ability

Process focused with the ability to create structure from complexity

Ability to manage and oversee a cross-functional technical team

Ability to deal with change in a high pressure environment
